FORGOTTEN DREAMS is the second solo album from Bellingham, Washington guitarist David Weiss, following the 1999 release of his debut solo album Finger Noise. The song "Middle Eastern Dawn" was licensed for the opening scene in an A & E documentary that aired in 2007 and Weiss explores several musical styles with his distinctive classical and Latin guitar styling, including new flamenco (The Color of Night), contemporary ambient (Music Is My Ritual), Brazilian (Wild Winds), smooth jazz (Just Chillin' Y'all), alternative (Something About Kathryn) and instrumental finger style (Trickle, Trickle). His breathy vocal harmonies are featured on "Wild Winds" and the dramatic title track showcases Weiss combining classical, acoustic and hard rock guitar textures. Collaborating with friends and former members of the ambient world jazz group JACAPITO (Jim Lowry on fretless bass and Nathan Matson on percussion), Weiss' new album is a labor of love seven years in the making. He is eager to share his new music with fans of his first album and fans of Ottmar Leibert, Jesse Cook, and Santana.
