At the heart of this group are Jay Craggs (vocals & guitars) and Kent Owens (bass), who make up the core of the writing-recording-performance group "dyad". Add drummer extraordinare Ernie Adams to the mix (drummer with Al DiMeola, Ramsey Lewis, etc) and the results are some really fun tunes. In this CD R&B and rock & roll meet head on and Jay & Kent stamp it with their unique signature - the result is a cool crossover style that is truly infectious.

From the thick vocal harmonies of "Starlight" to the rockin' cover of "Play That Funky Music" to the soaring lead guitar work on "You & Me", to the hilarious "Lookin' So Fine" these guys have definitely hit the ground running with dyad's first release "Better Way".

Jay Craggs is active as a composer, arranger, studio guitarist, recording engineer, and as a MIDI programmer. His projects include album work, radio and TV jingles, and underscoring. As a guitarist and composer, Jay has entertained audiences across the North America and has shared the stage, recorded with, or opened for many jazz and rock notables. Jay's technical background is in demand in recording studios and by performing artists, and he has published several guitar and technology-related magazine articles. He has worked with many national acts as a sound designer and audio consultant .

Kent Owens has been writing, recording, and performing for over 25 years. Kent grew up active in the Seattle area music scene and he has toured regionally and nationally with several area groups. His collaboration with Jay began in the early 80’s and continues today as co-founder of the group dyad.
