03. eddy dyer ... God bless eddy dyer! ... This kid ROCKS! ... eddy attended almost every AEOLIA meditation meeting, and I think he was booked to play an evening set at SEEDS OF SOUND (Lowell Ecology Benefit Concert / ROCK MOUNT TRASHMORE! -which Dave Huckins, Andy Szava-Kovats, myself, and a bunch of other people helped put on.) eddy can play a rockin' rhythm guitar like nobody's business! eddy's been rocking this world hard since before the days of The Reagan Babies, and his politics are right-on! One of the few people to play live on the air on my COSMIC PODUNK college radio program on WUML, 91.5 FM at U-MASS, Lowell, eddy has been a true friend over all these years. ... By the way, I should note that this is a great album from a great musician and songwriter! - George Koumantzelis

A Bar Once Again Raised....
author: Kevin P. O'Brien
I’ve been waiting for Eddy to do a pared down album that purely showcases his intense lyrics, perfect song structure and emotion-filled style. This album is a bar once again raised in Eddy’s prolific career. You could say this is somewhat of a return to his roots in “Explosion Alone”, but it’s more like when a master chef goes back to cook one of his beginning recipes; it’s now done with so much more depth and understanding of the craft that it’s Universal Nature is palpable.
This ability to touch so many diverse ranges of mood, ideas and style is so often lacking in our genre-specific society. Eddy’s lyrics are at once easy to relate to while remaining smart and omnipotent; never are they dumbed down or contrived.
At times, “Into Doves of Grey” is like slipping into a cool pond to swim at night, alone and naked to the world; at others it is like being in the ocean without any sight of land, a vastness, but without the fear; there is even a comfort in it. Either way, Eddy’s music has always blended perfectly into my life; and “Into Doves of Grey” is a masterfully made piece of music.
