ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
THE SOUND:

Fans of electronic-influenced rock acts ranging from The Smashing Pumpkins and Radiohead to Moby and Nine Inch Nails will find something both fresh and familiar here. Fierce guitars, delicate pianos, sweeping strings and crushing beats – this is the music of Dying Every Day.

THE STORY:

Over the years, Dying Every Day’s Todd Thatcher has produced and played guitar for a number of diverse projects, including alt-rockers Blind Spot, acoustic duo Black & Blue and hardcore-punk band River of Blood. They all come together in Dying Every Day, combining with lush keyboards and pounding beats to create a distinctive sound that is alternately driving and cinematic, raw and beautiful.

After releasing the 2003 demo EP “Bruised/Unbroken,” Dying Every Day returned in 2006 with “The Struggle,” a diverse full-length that spawned the popular digital singles "These Memories Are Scars” and “In the Absence of Light.”

Now DED takes a huge leap forward in songwriting and production with the brand new “Out of the Dark.” From atmospheric alternative (“Ashes and Bones,” the title track) to rootsy rock (“Green Leaves Falling,” first single “A Lamp Alight”) to blistering metal (“Remains,” Vessels of Wrath”), “Out of the Dark” offers everything you’d expect from a Dying Every Day record, plus a few interesting surprises.

Like its predecessor, “Out of the Dark” will soon be available from leading digital retailers iTunes, CD Baby, Comcast Rhapsody, emusic, GroupieTunes (ring tones), Into Music (UK) and PayPlay.FM. And with a continually expanding worldwide fan base, Dying Every Day is poised to take this unique sound and vision to a wider audience than ever before.

Out of the Dark
Dying Every Day’s latest album proves an electrifying and eclectic mix of instrumental rock. Each song seems comparable to a band you have heard before, from Coldplay to Linkin Park, yet each song remains fresh and unique. Tranquil organ notes, reminiscent of the Doors will stand out in one piece, while the next track breaks into sharp guitar riffs. Although it contains different sounds, the album as a whole blends nicely. This could be described as an album with something for everyone. Or, for those of you like myself, you’ll finally find the right mix of all your favorite types of music in one place.

Dying Every Day: Out of the Dark
The album title states exactly where it will take you. Upset about the music industry? Looking for that sound you feel your life has been missing? pick up this CD. To be honest, I am waiting for my physical copy in the mail and have only sampled some of the songs, but from what I have heard, this is some serious music. The last CD put out by this group made up of Todd Thatcher doing everything under the sun (including cover art), titled "The Struggle", is an instrumental masterpiece. The songs will take you from the depths of depression to the highs of rebellion. To put an end to a long rambling narrative that is currently flopping half dead on the floor, check out this artist. You will not regret that you began Dying Every Day.
