Dylan Nirvana : Pentagonal Flower

Punk rock all lyrical and melodic, Dylan Nirvana dives into the unconscious with his 4-song EP. It shows the odd beginnings of this East Village artist. Something like a snapshot into daytime world as all-encompassing as Revolver or Rubber Soul.

Album Notes

*Dylan Nirvana* New York Underground Artist Dylan Nirvana Launches Tour, Record. Cutting edge New York Underground rock artist Dylan Nirvana will be touring including dates in New York City to promote new EP - Pentagonal Flower, out on Icarian Records this fall. This music is original and arresting. A mercurial, melodic indie-rock with a lyricism that draws on subconscious urges and dreams. His sandy high voice, insane guitar, smashed up performance, and cool lyrics are completely unique. Press in New York Magazine and Time Out New York. "Morrissey meets Motorhead" says the Village Voice. Dylan Nirvana is a very much an integral part of the New York music scene. With an alphabet soup of college radio play and a buzz in New York City, Dylan has played shows at key rock venues including legendary CBGB, Continental, Acme Underground, Luna Lounge, Galapagos, Mercury Lounge, Sidewalk, Meow Mix, 169 Bar, Raven, Mickys Blue Room... He has performed with Girls Garage Tour at TLA in Philadelphia and with The Band That Never Was at Nietzsche's in Buffalo, and Knitting Factory with Timothy Dark. Dylan has played at Ramapo College, Lehigh, New Paltz, Skidmore, UCONN, Rutgers, Wesleyan, Centenary and venues from Florida, to Colorado to California. Dylan's new song KT-88 from the upcoming album - Pentagonal Flower, was just featured on Radio Crystal Blue, a syndicated radio show, Live 365. As cool as any old radio can get. Believe in Music ! REVIEWS

short and kick-ass

Love the lyrics to "ElectroEcstatic". Not my usual cup of tea musically, but Dylan definitely gives it his all and kicks booty all over the lower east side and beyond. This song and "Broken Train" have kick-ass lyrics.
