Hamilton, New Zealand, is a good place for people watching. It's just small enough that the people still wear their eccentricities on their sleeves, but just big enough that you can remain anonymous while you watch them. And it's fertile ground for a songwriter, even if the songs sometimes come out a little peculiar.
