ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Early Maxwell includes Josh Keohane, blues/classic rock singer and guitarist, Hunter Thoda, classical pianist, Joe Casey, punk/new wave drummer, David Oliver bass/vocals and Mike Prine, reggae alternate percussion. The bands musical influences emerge in their sound, building an album true to their roots, yet still exploring new territory in its genre. For example, the artists show bluegrass association in their song The Castle, reggae and jazz sound in Sharpening Time and an alternative pop selection in Protest. While the variety of sounds link to specific genres, the group maintains a sound that is only Early Maxwell The band has performed at various venues in Memphis, TN including the Tap Room, Half Shell, T.J. Mulligans, Full Moon Club, Young Avenue Deli, Gill's, Newby's, Brookhaven, Flying Saucer, Neil's, and New Daisy Theater. They are currently completed their first album, which was released in December 2006. -J. Weatherly
