Album Notes

Ear to Anon

Ear to Anon is spearheaded by composer and multi-instrumentalist Jason Traweek. Many talented musicians contributed to this inspired album, creating a mosaic of non-traditional instrumentation that includes world percussion, violin and cello, as well as ambient vocal styling, all underlain with a foundation of electro beats and synths.

Austinite Jason Traweek is songwriter best known for his skills in drums and percussion. Jason began writing music in the mid 80's, music that through the 90's evolved through various styles such as world, ambient and experimental electronic, and folk. This has produced a unique, powerful, and distinctly recognizable style of music.

Jason has established himself as a solid performer in the world of live electronic music, as heard in the award-winning band Matson Belle. With this album, he finally focused his instrumental, songwriting, and production talents into the progressive music of Ear to Anon.

This album deserves a close listen from those of us who appreciate deep listening kinds of music with a beat. Both the musical and lyrical content is very engaging and unique, and the more I listen to it, the more I hear. I highly recommend this one for true "album" listeners.
