Album Notes

Beryl sings. It's melancholy. It's crystalline.

Brooke does things with guitars. It's like ink smearing.

Will hits drums. And keyboards. The underneath stuff.

Brooke and Will have the same Mom and Dad.

Beryl's Mom and Dad are from Turkey.

They're all together in Philadelphia.

They make dreamy songs together.

I was in Philly in Feb. for the World Cafe's BeerFest. Needing something to do that Friday, a bud said check out Northstar Bar...Home Video was playing that night, but it was East Hundred - debuting Copper Street Performer - who stole the show. Hope to catch them in D.C. soon!

This cd is amazing from beginning to end. I knew of easthundred well before I bought their self titled but now that I have it I regret waiting so long. The band does a wonderful job mixing their modern electronic sound with their melancholic bass and guitar riffs. The voice intertwined with all the music gives the whole work a siren-like atmosphere. The only downside is that it's so brief. Nonetheless, I can't wait for more stuff from Easthundred.
