Album Notes

ECHO OF SOULS was formed in San Jose, CA in 2003 by Vocalist/Guitarist Ron Wright and Bass Guitarist Aaron Leigh.

ECHO OF SOULS self titled album was recorded and released in 2005 containing 10 songs of “Riff Heavy Hard Rock” and a slamming version of Peter Gabriel’s hit, Games Without Frontiers.

Between 2005 and 2006, over 100+ regional live shows were performed.

In 2007, the band went on hiatus not knowing if they would come back together again.

In 2008, a series of events led Ron and Aaron to re-kindle the song writing process and start working on a follow up album. With the addition of Stef Bedison’s guitar mastery and Brian “Sweetcheeks” Valadez’s guitar virtuosity, along with powerhouse drummer Kelly Smith, ECHO OF SOULS is a Hard Rock band that is locked & loaded with some of rock & roll’s greatest talent!

ECHO OF SOULS is a band that is ready to inject the listener with their brand of Hard Rock…

ECHO OF SOULS / Echo Of Souls Independent Release Echo Of Souls is a Northern California, San Francisco Bay Area based hard rock band. Formed in the spring of 2003 as Echo Of Souls, they pull from classic artists, as well as contemporary influences; a strong front vocal presence with harmonies and heavy guitar tones that define each song. The band proves that ten fold with the release of their powerful self-titled debut release. Echo Of Souls are powered by, Ron Wright Vocals/Guitar, Aaron Leigh Bass/Vocals, Brian Valadez - Guitar, Alex Friedrich - Drums. If you like your music served up thick & heavy this is for you. This music comes at you with heavy toned down guitars. Deep "feel it in your soul" grooves. Also great vocals and vocal harmonies. I would say if you mixed up a lethal combination of Alice in Chains, Black Sabbath and Soundgarden this is what you would end up with. This is a band that could go for the long haul. Ron Wright has a powerful voice that bleeds passion and is packed with tons of attitude. His voice at times reminded me of mixed between Chris Cornel and Layne Staley but all in all he has his own voice. As far as the musicianship goes, Brian Valadez guitar work is stellar and packs one hell of a punch. While the rhythm section of bassist Aaron Leigh and drummer Alex Friedrich give the band it’s rock solid foundation. The album as a whole shows the diversity that Echo Of Souls have. They can be bluesy, classic rock and heavy. By far one of the better hard rock bands to come on the scene in quite some time. Showing their originality with the influences of the best rock has to offer. Every song on this release is either good or great. Especially the band’s intense cover of the Peter Gabriel classic, “Games Without Frontiers”. The strongest songs on this album that will get your blood pumping in no time flat are the go for the throat rockers, “Choose Your Star”, “Drowning“, “Stone Soul“, and “Cold“. Support this band. We need more of them like this and less rapping and belching. Echo Of Souls is a great band that is primed and ready for world domination. - The Atomic Chaser HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Talented & Intelligent Rock like what it should be
author: Troy from Oz
Oh gotta love the Internet. G'day from Australia. After buying a copy of Guitar World which had a sample of the song Stone Soul on cover CD I was hooked on Echo of Souls. Better then GREAT vocals, solid Riff hooks that can both floor and lift you in the same bar, great tone, and not forgetting the rhythm section. Bottom end grind and driving drums (Roy McIntyre what a drummer) These guys write songs that are both hard hitting and intelligent, but Ron and the boys haven't forsaken the melody. Every song is worth a good hard listen, if this just a sample of the level of talent in this band I can’t wait to hear their next CD effort, better yet they get signed up soon. Buy it. I’d like to add that CDBABY had my copy of this CD sent to me all the way on the other side of this earth in just 6 day after ordering it. Now that’s service. Well done everyone. Sorry I didn't write earlier, been listen to CD no stop ever since it got here.

Solid musicianship on all levels. These songs could easily be on the radio (only a very cool station). Band rocks live, too.
