Album Notes
Meet Echosystem- a band born in the hills of Berkeley during late night analog 4-track sessions over a decade ago, and still comitted to exploring the hybridization of Jamaican dub and North Indian classical music. The duo, consisting of keyboardist / engineer Tim Donlou and acoustic artist Joss Jaffe, still use most of the same instruments that helped launch their early experiements: Sarod, Dotara, Tabla, and Guitar for Joss and Fender Rhodes, Arp 2600 and Hammond organs for Tim. Their mission statement also remains the same: to channel the channel the beauty of the earth's living systems and pay tribute to cherished musical traditions from around the world.

Echosystem's latest effort was recorded in the mountains of Santa Cruz from 2007 to 2011, and though their recording gear and chops have improved over the years, their music will forever remain, Dubs on Tape.
