Album Notes

"Serious A Cappella"! Eclipse is a vocal group of six that creates explosive sound, driving rhythms, and lush harmonies using only one instrument, the human mouth.

"Incredibly tight and sensitive with the capablility to explode at any moment..." and "You won't believe that the only things up there are six guys and their microphones..." are just some of the reviews that have come recently from critics.

Eclipse brings a perfect mix of hit new songs and exciting new arrangements of popular tunes to their new album "Once". From the catchy pop stylings of "Look my Way" to the tender but intense, tight harmonies of "Danny Boy" this album is sure to please all ranges of listeners.

The men of Eclipse have twice been named Regional Champions of the Harmony Sweepstakes A Cappella Festival (the nation's premier showcase for vocal harmony music) and have received three nominations, including "Best Pop/Rock Album", in the Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards.

Eclipse was featured in both the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games. They also performed at three of the Medals Presentation Ceremonies along with daily performances at competition venues during all 17 days of the Olympics.

In 2003, Eclipse was named "Best Vocal Group" at Utah's Best of State Awards and "Group Recording Artist of the Year" at the Faith Centered Music Association's Pearl Awards. You can check them out on the web at www.eclipsesingers.com

This is how a capella should be!

When I got this CD I was a bit sceptical about buying an "a capella" CD. However, as I listened to this masterpiece of sound and harmony I was instantly hooked. The sound that Eclipse brings to the music world is that of great energy through tight harmonies and perfect blend. With driving songs that make you want to sing along, like "Look My Way," and Eclipse's remix of ToTo's "Africa," and the beautiful sounds of "Sharing the Sky" and "Danny Boy," it is one that I am glad to have in my collection. If only there were more bands in the world that could produce a sound like unto this!

Why I like it?

This is one of my favorite CDs! It is the best a capella music I have ever heard! I listen to it over and over and never get sick of it! The cd is so good because it has a variety of all types of songs, like slow and fast. I like how it has mixes of popular music, and what you guys wrote too. There isn't one dumb song on the whole CD. My favorite songs are King of Pain, and Danny Boy. They are all great songs, and I really like the meanings in them! This is a great CD, and I love it!

Just another mormon a cappella boy band type group from Logan. These guys sound pretty good though for this kinda music, and they must have something going for them, because they appeared in the olympics. CD though sounds like all the other a cappella groups you've heard. Same cover tunes and only a few originals.
