These are the songs of my youth. I remember singing them in our church, upstairs, over a barbershop, at tent meeting revivals, and on street corners. Later, they became part of a repetoire of songs the Envoys Quartet sang. I sang bass with the Envoys and can vividly remember singing them in churches scattered throughout the U.S. Some of the words are dated as our language has changed. But the message of hope is clear. You will enjoy singing along with these old favorites. Sing them while having devotions or meditating on your faith. Sing them and remember. They will take you back.
