Album Notes

"Music is my passion, and I consider myself blessed to have that connection to it. I really couldn't imagine life without it. It seems no matter where I am, or what I'm doing, it's never far from my thoughts. I will assume that if you are reading this, you are also a music lover. If you are, then we have something in common. We share a journey that has no destination because music can transport you wherever you want to go, whenever you want to go there. It reaches into your soul, lifts you up when you are down, it's always there, always with you, always a friend."

Eddie Carrigan is an Internationally recognized singer/songwriter, born in Scotland, grew up in North West England. Naturally, being from the UK, his music has a European influence at its roots.
Diversity is the key and Eddie's repertoire can include anything from heartfelt ballads to hook driven up tempo tunes. His music can be heard anywhere from Argentina to Australia, Sweden to the UK, USA to Germany, and the list goes on.
His versatility as a writer has seen him involved in everything from movie soundtrack work in Los Angeles to composing songs for Nashville. But his first love is writing his own material.
His music is released under the independent label Moon Ghost Music, in South Western Ontario Canada, the place he now calls home.

Eddie Carrigan proves once again (if any further proof is needed) that he is head and shoulders above mainstream entertainment. There is brilliance in even his darkest material (as in "Soldiers," a brooding examination of the horrendous mess left behind in the wake of any military campaign) and darkness in the light (as in "Journey Home," with its narrator's longing for his childhood haunts) With each successive album, Mr. Carrigan adds layers of complexity and sophistication without ever allowing his music to seem at all over-produced. "The Mission Bell" is Eddie Carrigan's finest work to date (that is, until the next one...)

Every song on this album demands your attention. Eddie Carrigan is clearly a master songwriter and The Mission Bell is just an outstanding album! The upbeat tracks like "Heart Of The Country" or "Journey Home" refuse to get out of your head, and there just isn't a bad track anywhere on this album.

I would rate this CD among the best I've heard in years. Eddie Carrigan has a unique style that transforms the contemporary songs you crave into something else. The Mission Bell has mood, emotion and up tempo hooks that are pure gold.
