Eddie Dobbie is an awesome , fresh and vibrant young Scottish vocalist steadily making a name for himself and grabbing the attention of producers, independent labels and the general public alike. He's toured in the 2005 European production of The Rocky Horror Show and received glowing reviews , and starred in countless theatre productions and shows as well as winning his heat on UK TV's "Star For A Night" talent show. His first love is soul ; smooth r'n'b grooves and quality pop singing and it's in this genre that he really shines.
I'm the producer and song writer of this album and I'm incredibly proud of what we've achieved here. I knew instinctively that Eddie Dobbie was perfect for my project. We've known each other quite a while. I remember hearing him at 15 and being gobsmacked by this wonderful quality voice and an incredibly modest young man. He's now a seasoned professional at 26 and is equally at home with most genres - needs must after all!
The album consists of 12 original songs by myself ; mostly in the old skool r'n'b soul genre with a hint of pop and jazz thrown in - basically the kind of things I listen to and have been influenced by - Stevie Wonder ; George Benson ; Motown ; 70's funk ; 80's fusion .
I played ; produced and recorded all the tracks and I sincerely hope you enjoy listening to the clips and hopefully buy a copy ; or even 2! I'm sure you won't be dissapointed by what you hear.
Stand out tracks for me are Love On My Side ; The Man Inside and the infectious Goin' Crazy. Have a listen!
