Album Notes

Eddie Florano is one of the most influential American musicians in the “Indie” world today. Grand prize winner of Glory songwriting competition in 2004 but his music has spanned myriad styles from Hawaiian, Island, Gospel, inspirational, pop, folk, reggae, blues, country, rock and ethnic music. He has constantly expanded his musical palette throughout his career, absorbing many other genres including new wave, techno and alternative music. He has a reputation as a “songwriting” workaholic and branded as one of the fastest songwriters today, having released eight (8) albums in two (2) years under his own name and is known for having composed and recorded many more songs in a snap that remain unreleased. He writes, composes and produces all of his music single-handedly, and plays most, if not, all of the instruments on his albums. Critics and colleagues have referred to the quality of Eddie Florano's work and its versatility as being indicative of musical genius.

One of the top unsigned or Indie artists in NJ, Southeast Asia and online. His winning piece captivates the hearts of many. Sometimes unpredictable of what he will do on his next albums. Surely an interesting talent!

He is currently the bass guitarist & co-singer of the amazing "Wildwood Trade Winds" and "Lotus Band". He was the rhythm guitarist of "Perlas Ng Silangan" (Pearl of the Orient). If you wanna see him play and sing “LIVE” with the band, go to Wildwood in New Jersey every summer. Thanks!

ABOUT THE ALBUM: SONGS FROM AN ISLANDER
*****************
It contains cool island, reggae, blues and alternative tunes! Something different... some songs can make you laugh to lighten up your day:)
********THANKS!!!********

Here’s a food for thoughts for the fans of certain artists… Most of the profit of the distributed CDs or albums from the popular “labeled” artists goes to the major label companies, only few percent of the total profit goes to your music idols. That’s a sad fact! If those artists do not take care of their few percent profits, then they will end up being financially broke. We see a lot like that… wherein artists with a lot of #1 hits at the Billboard Charts but ended up broke. Now, we are in the new millennium and talents of the world are very smart enough to know that, so producing/selling your own music is a wise thing to do wherein all the profits will be solely for your music idols and of course, there’s a cut of $4/physical CD or 9% of digital download if sold through CDBaby.com. So, for the fans out there, support Indie musicians and music... because your support will be directly routed to your favorite artists than the purse of the major label companies. So say no more to the biggest profit gained by the label companies. Support indie musicians and their music to be sure that the profit goes “from FANS TO ARTISTS” than “FROM FANS TO MAJOR LABELS”!

With the fiasco of those "so-called" and overly advertised artists who can't even follow “lip singing”, only means that the rise of Indie music and artists is inevitable!
