Classic rock icon Eddie Money has been making hit records since 1977.
Hits like "Two Tickets to Paradise", "Baby Hold On", Take Me Home Tonight" and "Shakin", just to name a few, have helped this future Rock & Roll Hall of Fame candidate sell more than 17,000,000 records worldwide.
This new release, "WANNA GO BACK", is his first studio album since 1999.
For this CD the singer reaches back to when he first began performing with his band, The Grapes of Wrath, still as Eddie Mahoney from Long Island, NY.
He gives outstanding vocal performances on such sixties classics as Jackie Wilson's "Higher & Higher", Sam & Dave's "Hold On I'm Comin" and The Foundations "Baby Now That I Found You".
Eddie's 17 year-old daughter, Jessica, makes her recording debut singing with her dad on Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell's classic duet "Ain't No Mountain High Enough".
Eddie leaned on his longtime keyboardist, Randy Forrester, to produce this CD. Forrester, originally from Memphis,TN,
has produced and/or performed on countless numbers of independent and label recordings in his 30 year career.
The musicians on the CD are an all-star cast with members of TOWER OF POWER, STARSHIP, GREG ALLMAN BAND and the ETTA JAMES BAND laying down the tracks.
The first few thousand copies of this CD will be issued as a "Special Edition" with a photograph of a 15 year-old Eddie on the front, so be sure to grab one of these before the packaging changes.
It will surely become a collector's item!
