ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
I was born in 1932 during what people call the great depression. Five of us lived in a borrowed shack. It was borrowed because they couldn\'t rent it. The owners let us live in it to keep it from falling down. It leaked in all three rooms and there was no glass in the windows. We were so poor we couldn\'t even afford to build an outhouse.

When I was 11 years old, I stood in my front yard and set some goals. I vowed I would never live like this. I would marry a good woman, give our kids a college education, retire at 62 debt free, and write a song that people would want to hear the second time. I didn\'t realize how hard all that would be, but I have achieved all my goals except the song thing. I\'m still working on that.

If you are listening to one of my songs and it brings a smile to your face, a tear to your eye, or makes your day go a little better, you are making my dream come true and I want you to know I appreciate you.
