So... the Brett Favre story continues! I\'m sure I\'m not the only person who felt Brett Favre wouldn\'t end his playing career as a Packer. How often do fairy tale endings happen anyway? And why do we want them to? Every so often a personality comes along that transcends their given field of talent and their story becomes bigger than their craft. The Elvis and the Beatles stories became bigger than music. The Marilyn Monroe story became bigger than acting. The Oprah story is bigger than TV talk shows. And the Brett Favre story is transcending football and taking on a life of its own. Where will it end? Only Heaven knows. But I get the feeling that there are more great events in store for Brett Favre and that\'s why the Universe won’t let him retire from football just yet. I don\'t think its even Brett anymore. And as I look back I don\'t think it\'s been Brett for several years now. It\'s us. We want the story to continue. The Brett Favre drama opens up something in us that we want to bring to the surface and embrace. Hope. Endurance. Challenge. Victory.

So Brett goes from the smallest to the largest NFL city. But not to the Mighty Giants... to New York\'s NFL afterthought... a team that but for one magic moment could stand alongside Rodney Dangerfield in the \"no respect\" aisle. But what a magic moment it was! Not only for the AFL-NFL merger, but for underdogs everywhere! Well... maybe the sports gods have something in mind again. Maybe they think we\'re overdue for some more genuine excitement. Can you feel it? The hurricane is gaining strength. The sports gods know more than we do. Could they be using Brett to deliver another dose of magical inspiration to sports fans everywhere? I certainly hope so.

Am I a Packer Fan? Yes. Am I a Brett Favre fan? Yes. Do I hope the Packers win the Super Bowl this year? Yes. Do I hope the Jets win the Super Bowl this year with Brett Favre as their leader? Yes. Do I hope Jets fans and Brett Favre fans everywhere sing and dance the \"Brett Favre Boogie! - Jets!\"? Yes! Is all this stuff kind of crazy? Yes! And that\'s why I love it, and in your heart of hearts I bet you love it too!
