Album Notes

"EDGE OF TOWN", which features Chris Severs, Kristie Crook and Michael Archer, is the seventh volume in the acclaimed Wild Oats Records "New Artist Series" of CDs. (Wild Oats Records is often called "Nashville's Renegade Record Label and Home Of The Three-Hour Lunch".) The three artists this time around are all clearly talents to watch. Chris Severs hails from Virginia, and is a fine singer/songwriter whose music can be described as a mix of country, rock, blues and folk. Kristie Crook, from Kansas, is in the modern country vein, while Minnesota native Michael Archer describes his honky-tonkin' sound as "Country music with an EDGE". All three are very strong vocalists, and well worth hearing!
