Album Notes

The Eddie Album originally came out in the early nineties, when Ed Hale, now lead singer for the rock group Transcendence, was still in high school. The album was released on indie-label Alarming Talent Records out of Atlanta, Georgia, home to other artists The Alarm and the Georgia Satellites. This was Hale's first major release. The album featured the romantic pop ballad You and me, the rock song Obsession, and the disco-tinged dance club favorite Since I lost you. Described as moody, dreamy, romantic 80's euro-pop.
"The Eddie album is coming of age musings by a young boy and his first experiences with women, romance, and sex, his feelings about life, love, and the pursuit of trying to make sense of it all... Brilliant Bowiesque euro-pop by a young artist with a lot to say."

REVIEWS

Not necesarily his best, but a good reminder of where it all began

I dont agree that this is the best album Ed Hale ever made. Far from it. His work with transcendence over the last six years has been by far his best work over all. And as far as solo albums go, i would recomend his next solo album, the majestic acoustic in new york over the eddie album anyday. far superior. Ed was 16 or 17 when he recorded this CD? And it shows. It's still a must have and there are some great tunes on it, but it definitely sounds a bit dated now, whereas acoustic in new york is timeless. Still, the Eddie album holds a special place because it was the very first thing he ever put out and you can hear the beginnings of what was to come.
