Fort Worth musician Ed Rogers has been entertaining audiences for over a decade with his unique musical style. He uses a fluid concept of genre to interpret the songs of friends and influences, and explore the similarities of blues, rock, country and folk music.
Ed began singing and playing guitar in Austin in the late 90’s then migrated to Fort Worth. He spent years playing with an outlaw band of songwriters and guitar pickers called the Gypsy Troubadours. Rogers went on to release “Misery and Gold” in 2003 and began performing solo and with his band at area clubs like MacHenry’s and Poor David’s Pub.
In a return to his roots, Ed played drums for the Texas/Americana band No Class for the past several years. Now he has joined forces with singer/songwriter Christa Russell to form the Blue Sky Bandits, an Americana melting pot of country twang and low down blues.
