Album Notes

I taught myself to play guitar and sing primarily to annoy my father. It worked. He hated that &^$%#* hippie music, and at fourteen I could hit Neil Young notes! I started writing songs as an offshoot of the poetry I was learning in school.

I've now been writing and playing for over 35 years, though not always performing. I've written songs for weddings and dedications, and funny songs for birthdays. Most of my lyrics come from real life, and the things that have happened to me over the years, or in the present.

My songs are pretty simple, and I write when I have something to say. Even though I've been dragged kicking and screaming into the digital age, I'm still a folk singer at heart, and I don't see a change coming any time soon.
