Album Notes

I started thinking about this album as soon as Hurricane Rosie came out. Each time I wrote a new song I wondered if it was time. Finally, in the fall of '09, I had enough people ask me when I was going to put out a new one, and enough good songs to actually do it. I went to work.

Unlike with Rosie, I now have a small, but nice tracking and mixing room. Since some of the songs were written before we moved here, most of them had to be rerecorded and remixed. Since I am my record label, it all has to be done by me. Yes, that means I have total control, but it also means I have to find time to do everything while having a day job, house to mind, and things like that. It soon became obvious that my Christmas target date was unrealistic, but the recording was, at least, all done. I mixed every chance I got, then started working on the order of the tracks, the copyrights, cover art, and all the other less fun details. At last it was off to mastering, and finally CDBaby.

The songs on this album are almost all written from real life, mine. "Faith, Hope, and Charity" and "Old Man" are only loosely autobiographical, but the rest are very personal. I think everyone can find something to identify with here.
