Album Notes

33 Rebellions Per Minute call this 'the most unhurried, astonishing graceful album heard this year.'

This Is What You Get is Lancaster, PA, group Efatha's debut. Soulful fiddle resonates through "Hymn of Solitude" and the plaintive "Sandbox Sculptures," while "Far, Far Away" has a lively, rocking beat, accented by tambourine. Images of the sea are intertwined with the theme of a friend's lost love on "Wish," while for contrast "Rain Fall Down" speaks of the transformative value of true affection. "Monkey" deals with the negative effects of conformity and "5 Roses" provides acoustic, ethereal rock. So stop by for a look. In all, it's a pleasing selection with lots of original material, a welcome addition to the folk genre. ~ Murrday Fisher, All Music Guide

A very cool CD !

This CD appeals to the Scottish blood that flows through my soul. It makes you reflect, it has emotion, and you can dance to it. One other thing I really appreciate, it sounds human. It's not over processed, or over produced. Good job Efatha !!
