Effortless - Group Profile

Founded by crafty r&b, hip hop, soul songwriter and producer Ontario "O.T." Griffin, the group, Effortless, is poised to reinvent the bounce and grit of the current down south rap scene with the debut album Down South Hip-Hop Space Muzik.
Deriving from South Louisiana, Effortless members O.T., Mr. J'ai, Proper English, and J-Dubble consider the album to be a groundbreaking statement in the world of hip-hop music. The explosive glitz and thump of this project departs from traditional acoustic instrumentation and instead speaks through a plethora of futuristic, quirky sounds. O.T.'s skillful production suggests the need for a counterpart to the phrase "diggin' in the crates." Griffin definitely digs deep to create the Effortless sound, but we aren't talking about crates of vinyl here. O.T.'s shovel is pitched far within the abyss of synthesized tones and percussion found in his keyboard.
Nevertheless, Effortless will fill the void for a strong group representation in the South. The group is a perfect blend of feel good music. Unlike many rap groups in today's music industry, each member possesses superior emcee skills. Mr. J'ai explains, "everyone plays a unique roll..." He continues, " O.T. is the conductor. Proper English is a true veteran. J-Dubble is the future of hip-hop music (he is a young man with an old soul), and I'm the 'essence of the Effortless Crew' (I proposed the name and play my position)." There is great lyrical cohesion on every track, and every rhyme is unpredictably witty.
Down South Hip-Hop Space Muzik will certainly make a mark in southern hip-hop. With songs like Bounce Off The Wall, Exciting, and Dirty Dirty, Effortless is sure to be a favorite. O.T. says, "We're trying to bring something to the game that nobody else in the south can do. We will make a mark on the industry by bringing our own style of music while having fun.
