This piece was created with support from The Contemporary Jewish Museum and premiered at the museum as part of their "Aleph-Bet Sound Project" which was curated by John Zorn. The 50 Miniatures were inspired by the 14th letter of the Hebrew alphabet, Nun. The piece was remixed and newly ordered for this release.

Original presentation text: "I will present 50 miniatures each based on a 14-note theme. Organized using a structure inspired by the 50 Gates of Understanding, 49 aspects of character that the Israelites worked on developing while they wandered in the dessert of Sinai (the fiftieth being the revelation of the prophesy.) The piece will be divided into seven groups of seven pieces with one final work standing on its own."
