Album Notes

Edison Herbert is one of the finest guitarists on the UK scene today. He began playing the guitar at the tender age of 7. Edison's early musical experiences were playing both piano and guitar in small gospel groups and choirs. When Edison was introduced to the album "George Benson In Flight" by a friend, it was then that he decided to concentrate on the guitar. Edison enhanced his gospel experience and musical knowledge studying and performing other forms such as R&B, Pop and Jazz.

Edison continued his education studying Classical Piano at the Yorkshire College of Music and was awarded a scholarship to complete his graduate studies at The Guildhall School Of Music and Drama. There he performed with the Guildhall Big Band, this included two weeks at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club featuring Randy Brecker. Edison has worked on two West End musicals, The Grapevine and Unforgettable for which he wrote the arrangements. He has also composed music for a BBC Radio 4 drama "Spell Number Seven."

TV appearances include Pebble Mill -BBC 1, London Tonight- Carlton TV, Top of the Pops- BBC 1, Snakeskips Johnson BBC 1 and Black Britain- BBC 2.

Edison is an international musician who has toured England, Ireland, Spain, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Bangkok and the USA.

Finally Edison has recorded his debut album called "More Beautiful Each Day." The album has soulful instrumental laid back compositions that are filled with emotion. Edison plays most of the instruments on the album that enjoys guest appearances from Brian Edwards on Alto Sax, Graham Maynard on Piano, Neville Malcolm on Electric Bass. Wayne Boucaud and Richard McKoy appear on Vocals. "More Beautiful Each Day" may go deep, but it goes down smooth. Release date 2004-05-04

Original, wistful melodies cruise through and beyond the weaker vocals. The instruments are all the 'voice' this one needs. It's night time Manhattan skyline from the back of a big yellow taxi!
