If you buy this CD you will not be disappointed, even if you don't think you like Hip-Hop!
Eightrack Mind is a live band with drums, bass, keys, guitar, sax, turntables and emcees. Their diversity has allowed them to share the stage with the Wailers, Wu-Tang, Gift of Gab, Soulive, Michael Franti, Tone-Loc, Digital Underground, Zion I, Crown City Rockers, Hieroglyphics and many others. They’re forging a unique sound that sets them apart from the influx of commercial hip-hop. Their mix of hip-hop, jazz, rock & soul means there's a little something for everyone in the music. “You don’t even need to like hip-hop to love them,” quoted Cactus Records owner, Mike Good.
This is their second release. It features a new lineup that expands the sonic pallet from the first album. With the new members Eightrack Mind bring a musical richness that can't be found on most hip-hop albums. Also featured are Josh Martinez and Brian Koenig lending their rhyming skills on two tracks.

Eightrackmind’s second album is super addicting! Thanks to the new very talented lineup, the music is rich and luscious. The music in this album transcends hip-hop and jazz, containing thoughtfully poignant music and lyrics, a truly divine listening experience indeed! These guys continually open up my eyes to hip-hop, reminding me how musical and enticing it can be. Whatever your musical tastes, this album is highly recommended, you will not be disappointed!
