C-Dubb

This Sacramento native has made a strong name for himself in 2005. Having already pushed one album onto shelves back in 2002 C-Dubb has released three quality albums in '05, featuring some good beats, solid lyrics and some originality sorely needed in today's rap game.

Not only does the man write and rap on all his songs, but he produces about 90% of the beats as well. Still pretty much on the underground C-Dubb's name should continue to get notice as his top quality production teamed with good lyrics quickly make a name for himself.

His constant verbal assault on the rap game provides fans with some real facts about the current state of West Coast underground rap. His style mostly resembles a rapper who has had enough of weak albums, overused mixtapes and poor mic talent and this is reflected in his three solo albums in '05.

C-Dubb has worked with E-Moe, R.I.T.Z., Brotha Lynch Hung, Messy Marv, Kaoz The Assassin, Young Droop, San Quinn, D-Dubb and whole lot more.

Don't sleep on this Sacramento rapper/producer.

REVIEWS

Sacramento veteran

This is one of the most hard to find and oop releases from Oakpark (Sacramento) rapper C-Dubb. Here, as you can see, he's name is Eighty8, but it is still same great rapper. Producing, writing lyrics and spiting flows over his own beats - nothing but the best to get from Northern Cali scene. Highly recommended!

C-Dubb does it again with another 5 Star release
author: 2 Sicc Reviews
Overall this was a very, very tight release from C-Dubb. After hearing his last release I didn't think he could get much better than that, but I was pleasantly surprised on this album. C-Dubb is a name to recognize now in the underground rap scene. His production skills are second to none and his mic skills are right next to them. The features came through for him, not that he really needed to have any features at all. Dubb's ability to make a good beat and then rap over it with solid, thought out lyrics are something that is rarely seen in the rap game nowadays. So few rappers make their own beats, or put this much effort into every bar they spit. Don't sleep on this album, it's one of the best releases to drop this year. Get it!

This is one of the best CDs I ever had something to do with

Man when I listen to this CD, I feel like I felt back when the whole album was good. Even though I had a lot to do with this project, I am a C-Dubb fan before we created the Eighy8 Project. On all of these songs, he got in the lab and finished his vocals in about 15 minutes everytime. No lie. We took time to make the 1st CD sound as good as we can. The 2nd Disc is just a few songs Dubb had laying around, and a few we did just to see how it would feel to work together. But like I said, this is amongst the best from Sacramento Underground Mobb Muzik. I know them all, and Eighty8 is official mayne. Snatch this up, you want be mad at all. Don't forget to check out my page for my new underground knocker, "Once Again". 1oo
