Album Notes

Fans of Crowded House, Jellyfish, Squeeze, and XTC, take note! Here's the latest CD from a great mid-west power-pop band.

"Genius pop that sounds not unlike early Elvis Costello taking tea with Squeeze's Glenn Tilbrook, while Lennon and McCartney fuss over the scones in the kitchen." - (John Borack, Goldmine Magazine)

"It's pure pop for now people. Given all that is the music business these days - it's probably never gonna change the world. But it's a better world because Einstein's Sister is in it." - (John Porter, Performing Songwriter)

REVIEWS

The best deal on this site!
author: Kascott
I was skeptical, but I checked 'em out and it's not hyperbole. The frequent Squeeze, Crowded House, and Costello comparisons are well-earned, and totally deserved. These guys are orginals unto themselves -- but they're working in the same genre as those other acts, and they're *absolutely* in the same league. Look, I don't work for CD Baby, or Einstein's Sister, or a record company. I'm just a guy who bought their CDs and was truly impressed. Seriously, if your CD collection holds releases by Squeeze, Crowded House, Jellyfish, or early Costello, make room in the "E" section of yourCD shelves for this band. For $15 bucks, you can get three great CDs -- 41 tracks of Einstein's Sister pure pop goodness. It's an utter, utter steal. Really.

Talk about songs! Great singing too.

Humble Creatures is a wonderful record. It has all of the elements I like in POP music...catchy, strong rockin' beat and GREAT singing! Badfinger, Beatles, Costello...and more. It's all in there while still keeping it original. Good job boys!

Pure Pop For Now People!!

The influences on this band are just as stated on the CD Baby site. This album really made me smile, not a bad tune on the disk. Throw this CD into rotation with others and every time these guys come up, you'll be asking "who ARE these guys?" I would love to see them live!

A strong effort from a very good band !

The team of Douglas & Tucker from 'Einstein's Sister' certainly understand the art of Pop songwriting. Elements of Pop/Rock giants 'Squeeze','Crowded House' and 'Jellyfish' can be heard within the lines of Humble Creatures songlist. A strong effort from a very good band !
