Emma Jean Foster is a gifted and anointed 1997 Grammy nominee. Gospel and spirituals are her favorite genres of music. She is a Grammy nominee for her soulful lead vocal contribution to the 1997 "Shakin' A Tailfeather" Childrens CD recorded with Linda Tillery, Taj Mahal, Eric Bibb and a host other top notch international musicians and singers. The legendary blues singer, guitarist and songwriter, Taj Mahal is featured on two songs with Emma Jean. Those songs are "Everyday People" and "Rockin' Robin". Emma Jean Foster's ultimate dream is to sing and act in major television and movie roles. Emma Jean has studied theories and techniques of acting at San Francisco's City College and has studied, trained and performed at the Berkeley, California Black Rep. Theater as a maid, dancer, diner and understudy for Josephine in Jazzy Josie B., the story of Josephine Baker. She has also performed as a slave in the production of "The Underground Railroad" presented in Remy, France, San Francisco's Fort Point and Jacob's Pillow in Massachussette. Emma Jean's DVD is also available. It was filmed and produced by Godfrey Silas of DigitalGlamourTv.com. Emma Jean performs her original song "Stand Tall And Be Happy" and the classical spiritual, "Motherless Child" at landmark locations in San Francisco. The 2 CD set includes 28 songs Emma Jean has sung lead on throughout her singing career with various groups at recording sessions, live concerts and sometimes it's just Emma Jean and the studio engineer in the studio while Emma experiments with studio recording tracks and her ability to hear and sing at least 3 harmony parts to all kinds of songs as you'll discover on the first three Christmas songs on the CD.
