Album Notes

Sarasota resident Elaine Silver is a seasoned performer, songwriter, touring musician and recording artist who refers to herself as a "Metaphysical Folksinger." She has just released her latest effort entitled "I Choose Love," and is thrilled with the results.

Silver comments, "My music has grown and matured, just as I have through the years. It's a wonderful way of recording my own history through the music, and what makes it doubly nice is that thousands have shared my processes with me. Many, many people have commented to me about the healing effects of the songs and my voice, and it makes me very happy to have contributed by being in my own Dharma, or life's purpose. I use my own experiences, as well as New Thought Truth principles for my themes, and I just love to share in this sacred way."

Most of the eleven songs are original, with the exception of three selections. One that stands out is Elaine's gorgeous rendition of Lennon/McCartney's "I Will," sung unaccompanied with Elaine's lucid vocals.

All of the engineering and the majority of the accompaniment was done by the talented and skillful John Guth at his studio in Valley Cottage, NY. The exceptions are: acoustic guitar on most selections by Elaine, piano by Richard Shulman on "Angels of Blessings," who also co-authored the song, and violin on two selections by Lisa Gutkin. Elaine was also assisted on vocal harmony arrangements by Dennis Dougherty and Barry Carl on three selections.

Accompanying instruments include acoustic and electric guitars, bass, piano, harmonium, flute, mandolin, strings, bells, chimes and lots of drums and percussion.
