Distinctive sound, memorable performance
author: Deeds
I caught the tune "Orient Circle" on Worcester's WICN, and was intrigued enough to call the DJ. I'm very glad I did, and even more glad I went ahead and purchased it. There's a very different sound to the music on Visits, more evocative of Terry Riley than Lionel Hampton or Gary Burton. Very technical, but without sacrificing either swing or soul, of which these songs have plenty. Subtly informed by third-stream music like Oregon, but jazzier, bluesier. It's very encouraging to know there are people out there still interested in making music like this.

Inspired interplay
author: El Gordito

This is unadulterated good stuff!
