ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Meet Electric Angel, the world's first electric harp trio!

All female, singers, multi-instrumentalists, and composers. This dynamic band performs a full spectrum of original and cover tunes described as contemporary pop/rock with a twist. Their distinct sound weaves rich vocal harmonies with intricate harp arrangements augmented by guitar, keyboard, and percussion.

All three talented women -- Jill Meniketti, Lynne Reardon, and Midyne Spear -- come from musical families, have performed since childhood, and were originally classically trained harpists.

Jill's musical experience began at age 6 with the flute. By age 11, she added acoustic guitar, piano, and singing in children's theater. Jill is a budding composer whose family tree is loaded with professional musicians; plus, she is married to legendary guitar hero Dave Meniketti of the rock band Y&T. Jill is a professional voice-over artist and has recorded background vocals for several other recording artists. Her clear, sweet tone adds to the group's ethereal effect. Jill plays a purple 36-string Camac Electroharpe.

Lynne's mother told her that at age 2 she had a repertoire of 20 songs. At age 7, she took up piano, and as a teen, began composing and playing acoustic guitar and percussion. Lynne acted and sang in numerous theatrical productions, a made-for-TV rock musical, and an educational video. In addition to solo harp performances, Lynne's experience includes performing in, and composing and arranging for, the harp duo Hearthfire. Her wide vocal range adds a rich texture to the group's sound. Lynne plays a green 36-string Camac Electroharpe.

As a third generation musician, Midyne began studying piano before she could read and quickly progressed to violin, guitar, and voice. At age 12, she recorded a series of children's songs with five other young vocalists. Midyne began writing songs in her early teens and is now an accomplished singer/songwriter. In the early 1980s, she studied classical harp at the St. Louis Conservatory of Music and in 1991, discovered the magic of the smaller Celtic harp. Midyne began perfecting her sound in the popular Santa Cruz trio Birdz Uva Feather, and later with Argyle, Curtis & Spear, a metaphysical folk/rock band. Midyne plays a magenta 36-string Camac Electroharpe.

Together, this dynamic trio creates a unique sound that is fun, uplifting, and inspirational for their audiences . . . a treat for the eyes and ears. You've never experienced anything quite like Electric Angel!
