Album Notes

Electric Mustard’s new colorful CD is a kaleidoscope of electronic and organic soundscapes. “Kaleidoscope” is a psychedelic creation of cinematic moods, crossing over into various genres and influences. Created by musician/composer/producer Mark Bonasera (Electric Mustard), Kaleidoscope shows off colorful, melodic and dreamy downtempo songwriting with experimental sound art.

Mark has been involved in Chicago\'s music scene for many years. Formally trained first in percussion and later in piano. He studied music in college and has played with several Rock, Jazz Fusion and Big Band groups also including a short stint with the Elgin Symphony. He has written music for string quartet, choir, and organ and for the last 6 years his main writing concentration has been electronic music.

Kaleidoscope

This is an awesome album! We got it almost two weeks ago, and have given it plenty of spins - great music for taking you back to an earlier time when things were (for us at least) a lot more psychadelic. I would say the album reminds us both of certain Cafe Del Mar themes, and also Thievery Corporation, both of which we enjoy. I hope lots of people are lucky enough to discover this gem. It is obvious that a lot of work has gone into production, and the finesse really shows. Thank you Electric Mustard from both of us!
