Album Notes

This Just In.......
Radioville is the #1 album of 2005 according to the Nortwest Indiana Times.

......"A near perfect slice of melodic pop/rock.....Tom Lounges, NWI Times and Midwest Beat Magazine

Electric X is a self-produced band from the Chicagoland area. Their style has been classified as melodic rock/pop rock, comparable to the Beatles, Kiss, and Cheap Trick among others, with a totally fresh twist. The new album Radioville was released in early 2005 to rave reviews and praise. Already, the band has gained air play in California, Wisconsin, and Indiana. Since the release, the band has been keeping busy with shows, radio interviews, and possibly going on the road to promote the record.

All songs are penned by Electric X themselves, concentrating on 3 part harmony and memorable hooks during the process. Electric X has already started writing for their next album. Many of the new songs from Radioville have quickly become fan favorites at gigs such as the Star Plaza Theater in Merrillville, In., hooking fans from the first line of a song. Opening lines like "She's a dirty girl" and "Say what you want, I'm not listening anyway", grab you and don't go. The band took the stage over during a ten band showcase in January, 2005, and received one of only two encores that night.

I was a little skeptical about listening to a "small town" band But these guys ROCK! From the opening riffs in Radioville (title track) it was reminiscent of Mellencamp, then comes the ode to voyeurism on track 2. Harmony is a key to their sound and it works well. This CD is a great addition to my collection.
