ELEMENT 104 is truly the prototype for the future. Combining their musical influences which include 80's mega-bands Ultravox, Berlin and Propaganda with their own personal tastes which include ELP, UK and believe it or not, Italian horror movie soundtracks, the result is truly original. At first, ELEMENT 104 sounds like an eighties band until you pay close attention to DC Astro's keyboard techniques and musical arrangements. Unique is the fact that this CD was practically recorded with 100% analog synthesizers and rhythm machines. Ernie C.'s innovative bass is just the cherry on top. Featured on five of the six tracks are the vocals of Chinese/Irish/American Frangee Wong with her astonishing vocal range.
DC Astro's background is, to say the least, interesting. The premiere member of industrial-goth group, Deep Red, DC first scored big on the Cleopatra's label compilation box set, "Goth Box". All in all, Deep Red was featured in close to a dozen other compilations not to mention three full-length releases heavily promoted by a European tour opening up for German industrial legends, Project Pitchfork.
ELEMENT 104... revitalizing 80's alternative and bringing it home to stay...

Great Alternative sound! Ms. Wong's voice is incredible and provides the the mysteriously attractive quality to Innuendos as well as the sexy seductive sound in Movie.

Taste The Real 80's Sound
author: J
Since I purchased this CD, I have not been able or willing to take it out of my stereo. This album is a masterstroke of 80's new wave in a 21st century landscape. East Side of Heaven with it's infectious guitar and keyboards make it a fantastic driving song. Innuendos and Controller are hauntingly beautiful songs and the vocalist's diversity and originally shine thru. Fans of Berlin, Ultravox, Propaganda and even Duran Duran should buy this album. This is a fantastic album. Thanks E-104!!
