THE ELEVATOR PARADE
A psychedelic noise-pop outfit from Philadelphia. The brainchild of Rocco Renzetti started out as a 4 track project, and has now grown into a full blown live freak out! Never content to stay in one sonic space, Renzetti’s songs are as much influenced by 1960’s England and San Francisco as they are the high fuzz noise of SST era Dinosaur Jr. and Sonic Youth. With band line ups that range from 11 member orchestras to 3 man mega fuzz trio, THE ELEVATOR PARADE is about music first. The band has shared stages with the likes of ELF POWER/OF MONTREAL/J. MASCIS AND THE FOG/A POLINAIR RAVE/ SMOG/ BRENDAN BENSON/OKAY GO/CASS McCOMBS/ WASHINTON SOCIAL CLUB/ as well as countless fantastic Philadelphia bands. Two Records have been released. She Includes You (2000) and Chimes-Bells-and-Whistles (2003)
The latter recorded by Renzetti alone at home. Now in 2006 the band has a new 6 member line up and looks forward to the release of the new LP, BYPASS
