Album Notes

Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter Eli Braden makes music simultaneously timeless and contemporary, combining the classic pop melodicism of Lennon/McCartney with post-punk attitude and a lyrical wit reminiscent of both Morrissey and Eminem.

In November 2003, Eli released the CD "Honeydripper" on the independent label Self Release Records. "Honeydripper" is a compilation of 14 of the best songs he's recorded - some in expensive studios, some in friends' bedrooms - but the common thread is uncommonly good music.

As of this writing (November 2007), Eli's new band Pistol Opera is finishing their second album, which will be released in 2008. Their self-titled debut is available on cdbaby (http://cdbaby.com/cd/pistolopera) as well as the iTunes music store ... www.myspace.com/pistoloperamusic

Why aren't you famous?
author: Mark Harmon
You are a God. I can't believe the rumour I heard that you are living in a guest house/garage in the valley of Los Angeles somewhere - you should be on CRIBS, showing us your mountian of white powder and full sub-zero fridge stacked with King Cobra, while your three girlfriends frolic in your pool around a water-volleyball net. This record is my number one CD of 2005.

this cd is a nice collection of sounds. the artist says on the liner notes that he doesnt believe the album to be one, as such, due to the hodgepodge of sounds but it is a very good collection and I wish more albums had this sort of variety.
