Blues-metal. Delta blues vocals and lyrical imagery combined with punishing riff-rock and complex arrangements that blend musicianship with high energy performance. Imagine Alice in Chains with Muddy Waters singing.

Album Notes

Eli Cook's power trio combines the guitar and vocals of Eli Cook with the talents of bassist Eric Yates and drummer Jordan Marchini. Over one year in the making, ElectricHolyFireWater offers over 60 minutes of their original blend of relentless, bass-heavy blues metal.

Eli Cook grew up on the blues: Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, the Wolf, and Mississippi John Hurt. He cut his first blisters playing Lightnin' Hopkins' Texas shuffle, found his voice listing to vinyl Hooker, achieved his tone through Stevie Ray, and received artistic and song-writing inspiration form such artists as Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, Chris Cornell, and Jimi Hendrix.

I've been listening to blues and rock for fifty years, and can remember hearing Hendrix on my tiny transistor radio for the first time in 1967. I havent really heard anything in the same category until I put this cd on the first time. Eli's live shows, especially when he heads out into the Ether, improvising with feedback, are amazing. Not to mention his gut wrenching vocals. This kid is the real thing, grounded in the blues, his feet on the ground, his heart in the music, and his guitar rocking into the Stratosphere!!!!! If you dont buy this you might as well shoot your dog and burn down your house, and leave your lover, but if you do, then you really gonna need it...
