Album Notes

Gaagua (Longing), Elisete's new album is released!

Elisete came to Israel from Brazil 15 years ago. She has her many talents, unbelievable determination and unique Brazilian magic to drive her uphill all the way to the top.
Her goal she says is to bring her music and also simple joy to the hearts of the Israeli people as well as to the people all over the world.
Elisete is getting excellent reviews in Israel and abroad both from critics and her audience.
Elisete is singing mostly in Hebrew and her songs have tremendous success outside of Israel. She is a special combination: In Israel she is considered Brazilian and abroad – Israeli. Being a double cultural ambassador gives her great satisfaction.
The new album 'Gaagua', now released to the stores was preceded by 4 singles released to the radio and two video clips in the Israeli music channel, all enthusiastically received.
Elisete named the album 'Gaagua" (Longing) because although she loves being an Israeli she is longing for the Brazil she left behind – The children on roof tops flying kites with the Brazilian colors and all her childhood memories.
Using the colors she brought from Brazil Elisete portraits our reality through her songs.
The songs resemble Elisete: An almost impossible mix of simple words that touch deep in your soul with Brazilian rhythms and melodies that just makes you dance.
Elisete's optimism and huge smile echoes through the entire album making it easy to get carried away by her songs into the sunny Brazil she carries in her heart.
The album is dedicated to the late Ehud Manor, one of Israel's greatest song writers that has supported Elisete along the way.

REVIEWS

Very catchy and and unusual mix
author: Shlomo
Very catchy and and unusual mix of Hebrew and Brazilian, although at times I was't sure whether they want to be percieved as pop, bossa nova ... I thought they needed to work on that.
