Album Notes

Elizabeth Jonasson’s CD The Figgery Fell does not fit neatly into any one category. Classical, jazz, folk and pop mingle together in a dance of lament. The best way to describe her music might be with images: Picture a cold October night without a moon; the ocean on an overcast day; or roller skating through a graveyard at midnight. It's a moody collection of peculiar songs, mostly piano, vocals and harmonies, with the occasional use of other instrumentation.

Each CD is an original linoleum print on recycled material, individually colored with pencil. Included is a Songbook with the lyrics and drawings, also designed and created by Elizabeth Jonasson. If you gravitate towards original works of art and music, you will appreciate this as a comprehensive work of art.

Elizabeth is an artist and musician living in Santa Cruz, California.

I give this my highest grade yet - three enthusiastic 'meows' and two committed 'wags-of-a-tail'. ;-)

I found this music experience relaxing & pensive. Feel your consciousness shift to another time; maybe another world or perhaps your childhood thoughts. Open your mind and listen !
