Pure Gold Comes Out Of this Woman's Mouth.
author: Salvatore Antonio
E.J is a rare artist. She obviously has a layered understanding of music, however, her execution seems unbound by any musical rules or restrictions. She is devoid of any preciousness, and that refreshing quality, in concert with her wicked sense of humour comes across in her music. This c.d abandons the restrictions of a throughline and plays wildly from one end of her creative spectrum to the other. The one constant in each of these songs is her warmth, and honesty and courage when it comes to her songwriting. 'Cold Tiles', is a hauntingly beautiful song. 'Sway/Stay', is slightly intoxicating in the way it spins one phrase into the next--it still leaves me breathless. 'Marvin', gives up old-school grit without apologies. 'There's A Light', basks in the purity of new-love and all it's possibilities. 'Be With Me', is stunningly complex, yet simple...which is actually the perfect way to encapsulate the music of Eliza-Jane Scott--stunningly complex, yet simple. Her sound surrounds you, and you willingly give yourself over.

loved stay/sway
author: Kassie
The song stay/sway was the bride and groom's song at a wedding I went to near Toronto. I loved the song, hunted down the CD and now have all my friends in New York listening to it. Great stuff.
