If my iPod wears out it will be because I constantly replay this wonderful album. It is my new favorite Christmas album. The featured singer, Ellen Bullinger, has a powerful voice, which brings life to every song. However, her mastery of her instrument comes through in delicate harmonies, and subdued, nuanced tones when called for. This gives the album dimension, complexity, and a soulfulness that goes right to the heart. My Grown-Up Christmas made me want to vamp up my volunteer efforts and to never give up working to make the world a better place. Whoever produced this album also deserves credit for really "getting" this incredibly gifted artist, and showcasing her talents in the best possible light. If you buy one Christmas album this year, make it this one.
