Album Notes

Kristin Putchinski, vocals, guitars, piano and cello, founded ellen cherry in 1995 with some college friends after discovering that her degree in military history would be completely useless in the real world. Although the band has gone through many lineup changes over the years, Kristin has remained the constant songwriter, producing 8 recorded projects or original music in as many years. "the dizzy pleasure club, inc." is a direct result of frustration with the studios. After spending little time and lots of money in studios, Kristin decided to bring the studio home and became her own engineer and thus, seven tracks of new music written, recorded, produced completely independently, emerged. She tours as a songwriter, with a full band and also plays in the Baltimore/DC area with her side project, the Scarborough Affair (a Simon and Garfunkel tribute duo.)

Yet another stunning effort

This is yet another great effort from Ellen Cherry. I really liked the addition of electronic production into this cd, and not just acoustic numbers. Kristin's voice is so soothing and amazing, it just makes me want to sing along all day long! It works great to get me through my day of cubicle work.
