Album Notes

Ellen Cross is a Boston based singer-songwriter exploring the edges of modern folk and indie rock. This home recording project embraces the hypnotic spell of Tim Buckley, the earthy rock of The Pretenders and the electronic emotion of Kate Bush.

The Birds Still Sing features the work of some great Boston area musicians. It was recorded primarily in Ellen’s home studio/ living room.

The songs are explore the emotional landscape between contentment and desire.
