Album Notes

I like the underbelly stuff that makes a person tick. My songs often focus on the darker side of human nature, especially the unexpected things that I think we are all capable of doing. I write contemporary songs, with catchy melodies and strong choruses. Although I explore themes everyone can relate to, I look for a different point of view. My lyrics and melodies are supported by inventive and eclectic arrangements, both electronic and acoustic.

I’ve focused on the craft of songwriting for the past five years, attending songwriting and singing classes in NY, Boston and London. NY Producer and Songwriting Coach, Tony Conniff produced and arranged my first CD. Tony Conniff also plays bass on the CD, and I’m lucky to have Larry Saltzman on guitar and electric sitar, Charles Giordano on accordion, and my “dream girls” Margaret Dorn and Janie Barnett on background vocals.

I am continually inspired by a trip to South Africa where I learned that good things are always possible; like the white egret in the muck of the Meadowlands.
