Originally known for their live shows covering entire albums by artists like Radiohead, Joni Mitchell, Bjork, and Neil Young, Edge Hill Road presents a different side of Ellipsis -- the original compositions of pianist John Stenger and drummer Justin Leigh. Their writing is influenced as much by indie rock as it is by contemporary jazz, and they have enlisted three of Philadelphia's most creative young musicians to help bring the music to life: guitarist Matt Davis, saxophonist Jon Thompson, and bassist Jason Fraticelli. The result is a musical journey that builds from a quiet whisper to moments of deep intensity.
