Ellis Hall has created and performed a one-man pastiche of soul, blues and gospel guaranteed to entertain and soothe.

He has had enormous success as one of the California Raisins with the platinum album, "The California Raisins Sing the Hit Songs," and a gold album, "Christmas With the California Raisins."

REVIEWS

Tasteful and Heartfelt

Ellis delivers a powerful performance that inspires and entertains the listener at the same time. I’d give this album a 4.5 My only disappointment is that some of the songs seem a little thin on orchestration (piano only) although this is in part due to the gospel genre.

An essential purchase

Ellis dishes up a real treat here - most tracks are winners and will cater for all tastes. The bluesy cuts are certainly not dreary - to me Ellis is boundlessly cheerful in his writing and this vein of happiness flows throughout every track. Songs like Nothing Can Bother Me Today and Sunny Days really are lovely, positive, uplifting songs, and for me the real clincher is So Deep In Love. This song is AMAZING. So soulful, lush and definately a contender for one of my ballads of 2005. Please check this CD out.
